Hello and welcome — I’m William G Cherry, a seasoned marine engineer with a career that spans over two decades in offshore and subsea engineering, vessel systems design, and maritime consulting. Since 1999, I’ve had the privilege of delivering engineering solutions across some of the world’s most dynamic maritime regions, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Africa, and Europe.

I earned both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Engineering from Texas A&M University, where my curiosity for applied science and the mechanics of the marine world evolved into a lifelong commitment. Education laid the foundation, but it was hands-on field experience that shaped me into the problem-solver and strategist I am today.

P.E. (Professional Engineer)
BC.OE (Board Certified in Ocean Engineering)
BC.PE (Board Certified Professional Engineer)
M.ASCE (Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers)

Throughout my career, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects — from optimizing propulsion and power systems aboard complex vessels to managing the lifecycle of offshore platforms and subsea installations. While I don’t consider myself a “hobby” person in the conventional sense, my life is full of deeply engaging pursuits that engineers often relate to:
